Laura Ximena Triana Gallego
Laura Ximena Triana Gallego is a PhD researcher in Latin American Studies affiliated with the CEDLA (Centre for Latin American Research and Documentation) at the University of Amsterdam. Her research focuses on the cultural agency and visual narratives of indigenous communities in Colombia and Latin America. She has a Masters in Cultural Studies at the National University of Colombia; and is a political scientist with an emphasis on International Relations. Her research interests cover the power relations among social communities historically excluded or marginalised in Latin America facing adverse political circumstances, from a transdisciplinary approach. Currently, her main focus is on how Amerindian communities exercise their agency in different contexts by reviving and/or renovating their cultural practices.
